Welcome to Elmira City, the best of both a bustling city and rural town combined in perfect harmony into one world!  This large world features the city on one side of the rocky mountains with a small town on the other side.  Now your sims do not have to choose but can have the best of both worlds without seeing the other!

  2. This is a beautiful world and I like the idea of seperating the city side and the “country” side. However one issue I would like to add is that the countryside is very isolated, there are very few rabbit holes there, like a bookstore and a grocery store. This requires you to travel to the city side if you want to do practically ANYTHING. My child sim had to travel for two hours before she arrived at school, for example. It would be very nice if both the countryside and city side has its own amenities.

  3. I actually like the fact that Sims are required to travel to the city side for the amenities.

This world is exactly what I wanted for my Sims, except for one little thing: There doesn’t seem to be any space to place a 64×64 lot. I wanted to place a copy of the Plumbob Pictures backlot, but there is no space. There is enough space on the beach to place the lot, but since it goes into the water, I can’t place Plumbob Pictures. I have yet to toy around with editing the lot terrain, though, so maybe I can make it work.

Otherwise, though, I wanted to move my Sim and his family to a neighborhood that has a lot of housing between an urban and rural landscape (I set story progression to a 200-sim limit, but Bridgeport doesn’t have enough homes for 200 sims, and really nowhere to place new housing,) and this town is perfect!!! I’m considering just moving my sims here once my main guy retires, and having his son go into a non-Film career.

You could always try out a smaller film studio lot. I’ve run across a few, and use this one in the cities I play: http://modthesims.info/d/424676 Fits on a 40×40 lot. :)
